About our Personal Support Worker program
This career-focused curriculum is offered by the National Association of Career Colleges and developed by healthcare professionals to support your success in a high-demand field.
You’ll learn how to assist clients with medications, personal hygiene, nutrition, meal preparation and household management to help them maintain comfort and independence. Your training also builds knowledge in abuse and neglect awareness, cognitive and mental health conditions and brain injuries so you can provide safe and compassionate care.
Courses in safety and mobility, restorative care, body systems, care planning and household management strengthen your practical skills. You’ll complete two field-related clinical placements, one in a community setting and one in a facility setting, where you’ll apply your training and gain valuable real-world experience.
Graduates are prepared to explore opportunities in private facilities, non-profit agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, private residences and more.
To help you move forward with confidence, a dedicated Career Services Advisor supports you with resume writing, interview preparation and job search strategies. As a Canadian Business College graduate, you’ll continue to have access to job postings, professional workshops and career counselling.
