Our 38-week Personal Support Worker program prepares you to fill the urgent need for PSWs in the healthcare sector. Our program provides the skills and training needed to provide care and companionship to clients who are aging, chronically ill and/or disabled.

What will I learn?

PSWs play an important role within the healthcare sector, providing much-needed support and respite to clients and their families. You will learn to learn to assist clients with medications, personal hygiene, nutrition, meal preparation and household management to help them live their best lives. Our career-focused curriculum includes courses in safety and mobility, restorative care, body systems, household management and care planning. You will participate in two field-related clinical placements – one in a community setting and another in a facility setting – where you will put your skills into practice and gain valuable real-world experience.

Please note that, to ensure the safety of our students and faculty, all programs are currently offered through remote learning.

What are my career options?

You will get the training needed to pursue a career path in private facilities, non-profit agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, private residences and more.
