Our 44-week Accounting & Payroll Administrator diploma program builds a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, office procedures, bookkeeping and computerized accounting software.
What will I learn?
You will learn to collect and update employee information; prepare statements of earnings; prepare and process employee payments; complete and process forms for pension plans; prepare year-end tax statements, Records of Employment and more. You will receive training in Simply Accounting for Windows, Sage 300 ERP and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will also follow courses in payroll compliance legislation, Payroll Fundamentals I & II, bookkeeping, human resources and business communications. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for membership in the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) and will receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification after earning at least one year of work experience.
