About our Accounting and Payroll Administrator program

You’ll learn how to collect and update employee information, prepare statements of earnings, process employee payments and complete forms for pension plans. Your training also covers year-end tax statements, Records of Employment and other essential payroll documentation. You’ll receive hands-on instruction using Simply Accounting for Windows, Sage 300 ERP and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Your studies also include payroll compliance legislation, Payroll Fundamentals I & II, bookkeeping, human resources and business communications.

Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible for membership in the National Payroll Institute (NPI) and may pursue the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation after at least one year of work experience.

You’ll be prepared for opportunities as an Accounting Clerk, Payroll Administrator, Bookkeeper and related roles in government agencies, accounting firms, non-profit organizations, healthcare centres and private businesses.
