Taught by instructors with experience in policing and criminal justice, our 52-week Police Foundations diploma program provides you with the best in training and helps develop a strong foundational knowledge in policing, the legal system, communications and crisis intervention.
What will I learn?
Our program provides the essential skills and hands-on training to pursue a career path in policing and law enforcement. You will learn to effectively communicate with vulnerable populations by studying diversity issues, mental health, addictions and at-risk populations, including First Nations, young offenders. You will get an introduction to sociology and criminology combined with courses in law and the legal system, harm reduction, crisis intervention, criminal code and federal statutes and ethics.
Please note that, to ensure the safety of our students and faculty, all programs are currently offered through remote learning.
